摘要
A method for modeling a porous body of poured density composed of randomly packed spherical particles of different radius is proposed. The model structure is generated by packing spherical particles with a given size distribution into a hypothetical container of cubic form. The mode of packing simulates the behavior of particles that are dropped randomly into the container and seek, during their descent, a steady-state position. The method makes it possible to predict the porosity, density, and pore-size distribution for a body of particles of different radius.
