摘要
Operational probabilistic long-lead forecasts for temperature and precipitation are currently produced by the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) and the International Research Institute (IRI) for Climate Prediction. However, the forecasts issued by these two groups do not directly provide the information needed by many decision makers. This article details two analyses that bear on the interpretation of existing operational long-lead forecasts.
