摘要
Textures of hot rolled 6010 aluminum alloy sheets and those annealed at 900 degrees F for 4 hours were investigated by pole figure measurement and orientation distribution function (ODF) methods. For each sample, pole figure measurements were performed on different sections parallel to the rolling plane. Texture heterogeneity in the normal direction of the rolling plane was identified in samples with and without annealing. In hot rolled samples, typical cold rolling textures of copper were found in the surface layer, while the brass type textures were discovered in the center layer. After annealing the textures in the surface layer turned into annealing textures dominated by the cube component and those in the center layer evolved into preferred orientations which are strong in the Goss component. The texture transition mechanism and texture heterogeneity are discussed.
