Using corpora in bilingual lexicography

The aim of this paper is to show how computerized corpora can be used in bilingual lexicography to build up the framework for a dictionary entry, when integrated in a multifunctional natural language workbench. In this perspective lexicon and corpus are two interactive resources: using one implies handling and enriching the other. Thus, more real, user-friendly and accurate cross-linguistic information can be derived and it may help to overcome some of the problems that the assignment of translation equivalents has traditionally posed.
