摘要
In this paper we present the results of a survey completed by students of two universities ( 275 enrolled in courses in the Technological Institute of Motul -Mexico- and 678 enrolled in degrees at the University of the Balearic Islands -Spain-), in which participants responded a questionnaire about academic dishonest practices. The main research questions addressed in this paper are: What is the moral judgement that students make on the commission of several forms of academic plagiarism?; Are there statistic differences on the moral judgment amongst male and female students?; Are there statistic differences on the moral judgment amongst students of a Mexican and Spanish universities ( Technological Institute of Motul and Balearic Islands University)? Results of the survey suggest that the more severe academic plagiarism actions receive higher and more severe moral judgement by students. Female and male have significant differences in the moral judgement of two of the 4 actions of academic plagiarism studied. Mexican students participating in the survey have higher and more severe levels of moral judgements when compared to the Spanish undergraduate students that participated in the study.
