摘要
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems are desirable for wireless transmission not only for their high throughput but their robustness in frequency-selective channels. However, wide area transmission in cellular environments requires adequate performance in the presence of co-channel interference. Although methods for handling this problem have been proposed before, they usually require bandwidth expansion (e.g. for frequency reuse factors larger than 1) or interference sensing at the receiver (which is not resilient to fast fading). In this paper, single-sideband OFDM is proposed to provide a simple method for co-channel interference resiliency in cellular environments.
