摘要
Modem electric traction systems require efficient tools for analysis, especially in the area of new technology, when modern technical solutions are being introduced. In order to make the elements of electric traction systems compatible even at the design stage of the project it is required to foresee the possible operating conditions of the locomotives, power supply or signalling equipment. It is especially important when new technology is to be applied on the existing railway line with old-type infrastructure. This case can be observed on Polish State Railways, when main railway lines have were constructed thirty-twenty years ago and now face modernisation requirements for high-speed high-power locomotives. There exists and are widely used different models of electric traction vehicles, traction substations, catenary, signalling and control circuits. Due to complexity of the phenomena and mutual dependencies between subsystems, the models differ in the simplification assumptions and in different purposes of their usage. One of the critical point in their applications is the verification of the models, which could allow making the models more coherent with the systems. The paper presents the derived simulation models of the elements of the electric traction subsystems such as rectifiers, traction vehicles and models of DC electrified railways. Verification of the models with the measured values in real systems is also presented. The paper also contains the results of the application of the models in research works performed for Polish State Railways.
