摘要
Megrim, Lepidorhombus whiffiagonis, growth in waters of the north-eastern Atlantic from 1991 to 1995 was analyzed using back-calculation of otolith rings. A significantly higher growth rate longer lengths and older ages were observed in females. A north-south gradient growth was found, with greater lengths and ages in northern areas. The greatest variation in growth was found in the first three age classes, with a higher growth rate in southern areas. Differences in spawning seasons among areas may be one of the causes.
