摘要
The present investigation was undertaken to understand the role of environments on genotypes of Chickpea in the expression of component traits of yield. The significance of environmental (linear) component for all the characters in pooled analysis of variance indicated existence of substantial differences among twelve environments in respect to their influence in the expression of eleven plant characters of 42 genotypes of chickpea. The significant mean square due to genotype and environment interaction for most of the characters suggested that genotypes showed differential interaction with different environment A comparative look between normal and late sown condition showed that late sowing condition were inferior to normal sowing condition. An average grain yield per plant showed higher yield in November sowing than December sowing in all the years. Under normal sowing H - 208 and BR - 77 followed by ICCL 87206, ICCL 85309 were found the best genotypes. Under late sowing BR - 77 followed by ICCL 83227 were found to be the best genotypes in all the years.
