Open letter to migrants

A few days ago, on July 11, the Poor Clares and Carmelite sisters sent an open letter to the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and to the Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, to express their worry about the wind of hate and intolerance that is blowing in the country, and about the difficult situation experienced by migrants and shipwrecked people. With this open letter they wanted to give voice to our migrant brothers and sisters who flee wars, persecution and famine, face endless and inhumane journeys, suffer humiliation and violence of all kinds that no one can deny anymore. The letter received hundreds of expression of support and we want to contribute to give voice to their plea.
