摘要：

On the basis of the recently developed method of fundamental components, using heuristic formulas, a physical interpretation of the solution of the problem of diffraction of an electromagnetic wave on a half-plane with impedance boundary conditions is carried out. The results are analyzed for the cases of opaque and semi-transparent half-planes.
