摘要
Clinical experimentation has indicated that chronic exposure to cigarette smoke affects the healing process of oral mucosa in animals. In our study a significant extension of time needed for regeneration was observed, supposedly due to local chronic inflammation. It seems to influence the healing velocity, and new tissues were not fully regenerated. This process was directly proportional to the dose of cigarette smoke.
