摘要
In Standard CAN/CSA-S16.1-94, equations are proposed to take into account the contribution of the concrete to the axial and flexural capacity of concrete-filled hollow steel sections. In this paper, clarifications to some clauses and suggestions for improvements are made. The design procedure is illustrated by a detailed example where axial compressive resistance, bending resistance, and resistance to axial compression and bending are considered.
