摘要：
Despite progresses made in recent years in the legal protection of women's rights, the gender gap in economic participation persists in the Middle East and North Africa. An OECD report questions the negative impact of legal frameworks and societal and cultural factors on women's empowerment and on their ability to engage in economic activities.
