In this study, the structure and piezoelectric properties of Ca1-xSrxBi4Ti4O15 (x = 0-1) ceramics are investigated. These compounds are prepared by the conventional ceramic technique and the uniform orthorhombic structure is formed. The measurement of piezoelectric properties shows that the piezoelectric constant (d(33)) has a peak when x = 0.4, whereas many other properties changed with x in accordance with the average properties of CaBi4Ti4O15 and SrBi4Ti4O15. The mechanism of the regularity of piezoelectric constant (d(33)) is discussed in relation to the investigation of the polarization-electric field loop and structural change with different x. The temperature coefficients of dielectric constants and resistivity with x are also measured: The results show that the compound with x = 0.4 has excellent integrated properties and is beneficial to higher temperature applications.
