Comparison of prone and supine determination of left ventricular ejection fraction measured by gated myocardial SPECT, To determine if left ventricular ejection fraction can be measured either in supine or prone position, left ventricular ejection fraction was measured by both prone and supine gated sestamibi-Tc-99m myocardical SPECT in 123 patients. Small discrepancies between both measurements and a high correlation (r = 0.95) were found. We conclude that the measurement of left ventricular ejection fraction by gated myocardial perfusion SPECT can be performed either supine or prone.
