Stress testing for coronary artery disease in the elderly

摘要：
The elderly constitute an increasing percentage of patients evaluated and treated for coronary artery disease. In addition to clinical evaluation, noninvasive testing with stress testing is an important part of the evaluation. Various stress modalities are available to assess the presence and severity of coronary disease in this age group. The diagnostic value and use of exercise electrocardiography, radionuclide imaging techniques, and pharmacologic stress modalities in the elderly are discussed.
