SCM-oriented enterprise information system integration technology and application

Enterprise application integration (EAI) has emerged as software technology to address the issue of integration problems, and become a new efficient solution for integrating various disparate information systems in supply chain. On the basis of analyzing the application of both intra- and inter-organizational levels, a physical integration model of supply chain based on EAI technology is proposed, and seven types of the integration of supply chain is classified. According to aforementioned physical model and legacy-to-packaged integration, one of the seven types, a manufacturer's example in supply chain management is presented. The example explores the way of supply chain integration, and describes the logical model of information data flow and business processes.
