摘要
This paper describes an object-oriented simulation library, developed to provide a Multi-Agent Object Oriented Simulation Environment (MAOOSE) for design and experimentation of agent-based manufacturing control systems. After a brief description of the most relevant potentialities due to the adoption of object-oriented simulation in manufacturing area, major needs to develop an agent-based simulation environment are addressed. MAOOSE aims at contributing to these needs by enriching an existing OOSE with specific libraries for agent-based systems. An application to a market-like architecture is reported in order to describe the main key features of the proposed environment.
