The inspiration of folk art to modern art design

The folk art is rooted in the traditional culture of the nation, it has significant artistic features in color, shape, pattern and others, and it has a profound impact on modern art design. The application of folk art in modern art design is conducive to the development of its diversified styles and types, as well as its unique features and superb skills, and so on. This is conducive to the gradual enrichment of the resources of modern art design. Based on this, this paper first describes the studies of domestic scholars on folk art and modern art design. Furthermore, it leads to the relationship between folk art and modern art design from the three basic features of folk art, such as the practicality of life, the spiritual aesthetic and the folk custom. At last, it points out the enlightenment of folk art to modern art design from three aspects, such as style design, color application and creative concept, so as to promote the development of modern art design.
