摘要：
The article discusses the information and communication sector of the Russian economy. His condition is assessed by various indicators reflecting his role in the country's economy. Since the digital Russian sector is still quite young and not all the institutions that regulate and promote its development are fully operational, it has not high indicators compared to the leading countries of the industry. This conclusion is confirmed by the data on the digital competitiveness rating of the countries of the world where Russia occupies only 40th place out of 63. The article identifies the reasons for the low development of the ICT sector and suggests measures to improve its situation.
