Experiences with lanthanum hexaboride cathode guns

摘要：
The production of sintered lanthanum hexaboride cathodes and their utilisation in several electron gun arrangements are presented together with operating experiences with the cathodes. The guns are used as injectors in electron accelerators and provide beams with current densities in the range 1-100 A/cm(2) at 25-75 keV electron energy.
