摘要：
In this paper, a low-profile broadband discone antenna is proposed. The edge of the antenna's section is a gradient polyline. It is composed of discone antenna, three short-circuited posts, and the metal ring loading. This antenna is placed in the cavity, the dielectric substrate used by the radome is at the top of the cavity. The simulation results show that these structures make the proposed antenna wideband and low-profile. Besides, the simulation results show that the impedance bandwidth is of 57%(0.93-1.6GHz), the gain variation in the horizontal plane is less than 1.5dB over the aim bandwidth (0.95-1.25GHz). The height is 0.077 lambda(max), and the radiation pattern is omnidirectional. The simulation and test results are in good agreement.
