摘要
This study aims to assess the water quality of S (a) over tildeo Caetano creek, in Balsas (MA), based on the CONAMA Resolution No. 357/2005. The physical, chemical and microbiological parameters were analyzed, and the Water Quality Index (WQI) was determined. The data classify creek as an impacted environment, with eutrophic characteristics. In general, the water contamination by fecal coliform is above the standards set for Class 2 waters, and the WQI values are indicative of regular quality waters. Also, there were observed negative anthropic actions at the margins of the creek, an indication that there is an urgent need for conservation measures.
