摘要：

The aim of this study is to investigate an important issue of the banking system by analysing global trends in the evolution of the banking market for a period that includes both pre-crisis years(prior to 2008) and the years following the onset of financial crisis (from 2008 to 2010-2012). Related to this, the period from 2004 to 2010, and from 2011 to 2012, was analysed. The present study doesn't define the bank as an independent part of the economic system, but as areal financial conglomerate that functioning has a decisive influence on the entire economy.
