摘要
This preliminary study is a result of an empirical identification and evaluation of subjective well-being factors carried on Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology at University of California Berkeley. In this paper, we focus on measuring the meaning of work related to the wellbeing factors and how it can reflect on the results of work of effectiveness and task productivity. This is an initial attempt at understanding these relationships, and subsequent explorations will include more data than what was available for this effort (n=124). This preliminary study intends to establish a conceptual framework by which to explore the relationship between well-being factors and resultant productivity. Some possible practical implications of this research relate to improvements in the areas of employee satisfaction, talent retention, decreased turnover, and increased productivity. Subsequent efforts will identify the most significant variables from the data set and then use them to create a tool that can be used to measure the impact of well-being features on efficiency and productivity.
