Retropubic paraurethral leiomyoma in a woman

Only a few cases of paraurethral leiomyoma have been described in the literature. We report a case of such a leiomyoma in a woman, who had less complaints. Clinical and radiologic findings did not clarigy the dignity of the tumor. We did not perform a biopsy because the tumor showed hypervascularity and a soft tissue sarcoma could not be ruled out. If histology reveals the benign tumor, local excision is recommended, because no malignant transformation has been reported.
