摘要
Using the chance of an obtained numerical model a mold simulation (pouring and solidification processes) was analyzed. As material it was used a aluminum - magnesium commercial alloy type AZ93A with known properties. The molding alloy process parameters in two different situations (pieces shapes are different as wheel or connecting rod part) were registered and compare for better behavior analyze. Paying respect for all material properties, blend used for pouring form properties and characteristics variation of sand with temperature modification the numerical model used gives important information like filling and solidification time and sequence, cooling rate or local cooling rate improving the molding process by virtual tests with no looses of material, energy or time and money.
