摘要
In this work, we present the solubilization and intestinal permeability of poloxamer (188 or 407) in the presence and absence of sodium deoxycholate (NaDC) on a poorly water-soluble compound, florfenicol. Solubilization studies revealed that poloxamer 407 had much higher solubilization capacity than poloxamer 188, as well as adding 0.1% NaDC. Permeability experiments confirmed that poloxamer 188 monomers presented higher permeability enhancement than poloxamer 407 micelles at the same concentration level. However, compared with the same poloxamer concentration, inhibitory effects of permeability in poloxamer (188 and 407) + NaDC solutions at different degree were observed in this study. These results maybe ascribed to the formation of mixed micelles between poloxamer and NaDC in the phosphate buffer solution. All in all, an increase in solubility does not necessarily result in a higher drug permeability by the combination of different surfactants.
