One series of 15 patients with large and long lasting leg ulcers (venous and mixed arterial + venous), were treated with collagen t gentamicin implants. Patients were submitted to routine blood tests, coloured doppler ultrasounds and antibiotic sensitivity tests. A more rapid growing to surface and healing were observed. A complete healing of some ulcers and a good preparation for sl;in graft in the remainder were observed. A further control study should be performed.
