摘要
Fundamentals of surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors and their implementation for measurement of tire pressure during driving are shown. SAW sensors are passive devices, they are free of maintenance. The lifetime of the sensors is not limited, it is much more than the lifetime of every known battery and semiconductor technology. The sensors withstand rough environment characterized by heat, dirt, mechanical vibration and/or electromagnetic interference. Results of the tire pressure measurements during test rides are presented.
