Multi-long-span bridges under seismic wave excitations

摘要
Multi-long-span bridges are frequently used in elevated railways and high-flying highways. When a bridge lies in a seismic zone, the bridge may be subjected to seismic wave excitations during its life-span. Of the earthquake potential for disastrous consequence, in this case, the parameters of the bridge should be designed as it can resist earthquake actions. The response analysis of the bridge subjected to seismic wave excitations is the foundation of the entire design procedure. The seismic wave excitations exciting on the multi-long-span bridges are modeled as random processes correlated in time-domain, exciting on its multiple supports at different time instants according to the distance between th supports and the epicenter. The analysis method and results are offered in this paper.
