Impurity diffusion coefficients on Y- and Cr-sublattice in a perovskite-type oxide, YCrO3 were determined along with the electrical conductivity as a function of oxygen partial pressure in the range of 10(-2) less than or equal to Po-2/atm less than or equal to 1 at elevated temperatures of 1000 less than or equal to 5 T/degreesC less than or equal to 1200 by using La and Mn as an impurity on Y and Cr site, respectively. The impurity diffusivity, D-La and D-Mn was between 10(-18) and 10(-16) cm(2) /sec. Both D-La and D-Mn are comparable in magnitude, and show a similar Po-2 dependence. Defect structure on cationic sublattice of YCrO3 was discussed with the dependence of the electrical conductivity and impurity diffusivity on Po-2.
