摘要
Walter Benjamin wrote several critical texts in which violence appears as a starting point for his reflections. This work is a critical reading of "Zur Kritik der Gewalt" (Critique of Violence, Critique of Power), an essay by Benjamin published in 1921, seeking to pay attention to the way the author evaluates the relationships among law, power, violence, authority, and the State. The author's thesis is that the law, in modernity, despite its rational and scientific bases, and despite apparently working in favor of the citizens, is structured on the pillars of violence and power, controlling, dominating, and deciding the men's lives, within a still mythical paradigm.
