Thermolysis of salts of [ReCl6]2- and [ReBr6]2- anions

摘要
Thermolysis of [Pd(NH3)(4)] [ReHal(6)], [Pt(NH3)(4)] [ReHal(6)], and (NH4)(2)[ReHal(6)], where Hal = Cl or Br, has been studied under an inert atmosphere. Several tendencies in thermolysis have been found. Two-phase systems containing two solid solutions, one based on the fcc cell of platinum (palladium) and the other based on the hcp cell of rhenium, are the final thermolysis products of the double complexes under an inert atmosphere. Reducing the complexes under a hydrogen atmosphere can yield single-phase palladium-rhenium solid solutions.
