Summary report on the TAPPI Coating and Graphic Arts Conference 2004

The Coating Conference and Exhibit 2004 was staged again as a stand-alone event, not as part of a mega-conference as in the previous year. The Coating & Graphic Arts Division has done so responding to its membership. The program offered technical presentations, panel discussions and meetings of the various common interest groups (Lunch and Learn). A survey of aspects of curtain coating was a highlight of the conference. New technical developments, primarily in coating materials, were presented in the Suppliers Showcase and through the industry exhibit.
