摘要
In this paper, the human capital Gini coefficient of China's 30 provinces from 2006 to 2012 was calculated and compared using annual cross-sectional data of and the per capita GDP correlation inspection. Results show that the human capital Gini coefficient of each region is relatively high, and the interregional gap in human capita is manifested by its distributed structure. Human capital inequality and human capital level were found to be negatively correlated. By continuously improving the regional average years of schooling, the human capital Gini coefficient gradually decreased, although the human capital inequality in the three regional gaps did not change. The Gini coefficient of human capital and regional economic development are also negatively correlated. A shift in the former can cause significant changes in the per capita GDP, thereby making the regional human capital inequality gap the cause of the gaps in regional economy. On this basis, economic growth policy choice should not only focus on the stock of human capital but improving the distribution of human capital structure as well.
