The topology of stochastic magnetic fields in the edge region of Wendelstein 7-X (W7-X) is investigated for fields with volume-averaged 3-values of [beta] = 0, 2 and 4% inside the last closed magnetic surface (LCMS) and rotational transform values of i > 1 in the edge region. The Kolmogorov lengths of flux tubes are determined and compared with the corresponding connection lengths to an outer limiting surface.
