摘要
In this paper the specification, installation and commissioning of a new centrifuge at University of Tehran, Iran is described. It is the first geotechnical centrifuge laboratory in Iran and also in the Middle East. The machine is an Actidyn C67-2 geotechnical centrifuge. The centrifuge beam (radius 3.5 m) is equipped with a pendulum swinging platform that will accommodate a model up to 1 m x 0.8 m x 0.8 m and can accelerate a one tone package to 130 g. The centrifuge is controlled by a state-of-the-art computer management system. The centrifuge at the civil engineering school of University of Tehran is seen as a standard laboratory which will provide an effective modeling service for research group and industry in Iran. The paper explains the characteristics and special features of the machine.
