摘要
Druzhinin adopts the perspective of radical constructivism to approach the use and comprehension of euphemisms and dysphemisms in communicative interactions, and makes a convincing case in favor of the deeply experiential nature of language. My point is not to dispute the relevance of this perspective, but rather to ponder about (a) the difference between written and spoken communication, and (b) how a radical constructivist perspective may underestimate the diversity of the cognitive processes possibly at work in linguistic interactions.
