Weak antilocalization in a GaAs quantum well in the presence of a strong in-plane magnetic field

摘要
We report low-field magnetoresistance measurements performed on a GaAs/AlGaAs quantum well with a strong in-plane magnetic field (beta(parallel to)). As the parallel magnetic field increases, the weak antilocalisation is destroyed. This is folllowed by the suppression of the weak localisation at higher fields. We find that the spin relaxation time tau(so) remains constant as a function of B-parallel to whereas the dephasing rate tau(-1)(phi) is proportional to the parallel field squared.
