摘要：
The paper examines the behaviour of the bushes in high pressure 'bush configuration' gear pumps. Experimental measurements of the clearances between the end-faces of the gears and the bushes are presented and an analysis of the mechanism of lubrication is given, It is suggested that bush lubrication depends on the surface irregularities at the ends of the gears and on the non-flatness of the bushes.
