摘要
Advanced manufacturing technology (AMT) has become widely used in manufacturing firms in the United States. The potential benefits are enticing: the efficiency of traditional automation combined with the flexibility to produce custom products. The reality, however, is that these firms often fail to attain the anticipated benefits. Our focus in this study is on the role of organizational culture in the implementation of AMT. Ln this paper, we present the preliminary findings of a survey of 470 manufacturing managers. We found that there were a number of significant relationships between organizational culture and AMT implementation success.
