摘要
Ejaculates of AI boars were found to be characterized by a wide interbreed and within-breed variation. Duroc as well as Hampshire breeds strongly pass the main ejaculate characteristics to their two-breed crossbred progeny, a stronger expression being show by Durocs. Variation in sperm motility was shown to be considerably related to breed, while was comparatively low within breed groups. Spermatozoa of crossbreds showed higher motility than those of purebred boars, and the lowest percentage of mobile spermatozoa was found in ejaculates of Durocs. The variation of economically important traits of ejaculates, such as the total number of spermatozoa and the number of insemination doses obtainable from one ejaculate, were found to be determined by objective extra-breed factors rather, than by the breed itself.
