摘要
Rapid changes are taking place in every gamut of life - be it technological, social, cultural, etc. Work, employment and industry are undergoing considerable restructuring and changes are taking place in a swift manner. The importance of education for social, economic, political and environmental progress is universally recognised. Effective and efficient distributed manufacturing, global sourcing and the global marketing of goods and services through state-of-the-art supply chains is, and will be, the manufacturing scenario. Global competitiveness of India shall largely depend upon the people's abilities to innovate, create intellectual property and convert the intellectual property rights to a commercially viable product or service, as well as in marketing the same globally. Higher education institutions are ordained to lead the creative reinterpretation of human experiences and to be trendsetters in generating new knowledge.
