摘要
Pure alginate filaments (PAF) and olive oil-doped alginate filaments (OAF) with different concentrations were spun using a fully automatized wet-spinning machine. The main aim of this study was to investigate the effect of adding olive oil into alginate spinning solution on physical and mechanical properties of filaments. Wet-spun filaments of both PAF and OAF samples were morphologically observed by Projectina microscope. The obtained filaments of both types illustrated an integrated and uniform shape. The filament's count increased by increasing the polymer solution concentration in both PAF and OAF. The EDS analysis approved the presence of olive oil in OAF samples. Mechanical properties were studied via tensile test. Results showed that, although, maximum load of samples in PAF and OAF filaments increased by increasing the spinning solution concentration but, the maximum stress of samples decreased significantly. Also, the presence of olive oil in alginate filaments led to a decrease in maximum stress of samples.
