The Application of Multimedia Technology in Physical Education Teaching and Learning

In view of the current problem of the traditional teaching method of physical education, students' enthusiasm and interest in learning are diminishing, which are both challenge and opportunity for PE teaching. In this paper, the technical action learning of basketball jumper in sports was taken as the research object. The multimedia technology was applied to the teaching of jumping technology in basketball. The method of mathematical statistics was used to compare and analyze the difference between the experimental group and the control group's basketball jumper technique. The results show that the application of multimedia technology can be more intuitive to help students understand the technical characteristics of basketball jumper technology and have a certain superiority compared with the traditional teaching methods.
