摘要
The battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are gaining much attention recently. On key challenge of BEV is the limited battery energy which is essential to the available travel range. BEVs run entirely electricity stored in batteries and operate with the electric motor. The available travel range of BEV has become an important issue in the research filed. In order to relieve the range anxiety and achieve higher battery utilization for BEV, the Travel Range Estimation Model has been proposed to provide a theoretical approach of estimating the travel range based on the BEV characteristics. The model will provide the basic template to estimate the available range for BEVs with the energy-efficient speed to lower the range anxiety for drivers.
