摘要
A 1 X4 Wide-angle beam-scanning phased array based on frequency- and pattern- reconfigurable antenna is presented in this paper. The antenna elements used in the array produce the broadside and conical radiation modes, which can be tuned and switched by diodes. With the reconstruction of element pattern, the phased array can thus operate in two scanning modes, which improves the far-field spatial coverage of array. For proof-of-concept demonstration, the phased array prototype Godj has been simulated. By switching the diodes in array to change scanning modes, the main lobe of array achieves a scanning range of -78 similar to+72 degrees at 25.5 similar to 26.5GHz with a gain loss not more than 3dB.
