An X-ray spectral survey of sources in globular clusters: first results

摘要：
Preliminary results of a BeppoSAX observation program of luminous X-ray sources in globular clusters suggest a common physical scenario: the superposition of a Comptonized spectrum, originating in a boundary layer between the accretion disk and the neutron star, and a thermal component, probably released by the accretion disc as multi-temperature blackbody. In this scenario, the spectra are steeper in brighter sources, due to the strong correlation between thermal cutoff energy and luminosity.
